Today I taught yoga at Bikram Yoga Downtown Los Angeles and was so happy to see my student progress. I asked him if he noticed the changes, if he felt he was going deeper, that I had not seen him in a while. He wasn't sure and I said I'm happy to take your photo so you can see. He posted it and now so am I. I have seen his fierce strength and grace with confidence grow over the years. I was uplifted and thinking about the class I taught last night to 45 kids at Central Juvenile Hall. The boys in the front row wanted to be in the back and were a little nervous about their postures, about being seen. My husband, Nick Ippolito, said he would be right there with them and he even got up on stage to share a powerful pose of Full Camel. A "wow" posture that awed the crowd. When the kids were in Standing Bow pose, so many were able to hold and shine. There is something that happens when you can hold a pose and feel good in it, no matter what it looks like. I said to the kids: "Yoga makes you feel good. When you feel good, it makes you want to do good. And that helps you make better choices". -Jill Weiss Ippolito
