UpRising Yoga is offering FREE YOGA in THE PARK! with El Centro Del Pueblo. The Summer Night Lights program is a public and private partnership undertaken by the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Gang Reduction & Youth Development (“GRYD”) and The GRYD Foundation.

Last year I was invited to Adelaide to meet Joan Davey, the owner of Adelaide Hills Bikram Yoga. She had purchased a copy of our first UpRising Yoga manual in 2012. She welcomed me into her family and we connected in ways of deep friendship as well as simpatico missions. She teaches yoga weekly in the men's prison and it was an honor to join her to see this incredible program thrive!

Our training was memorable and I met passionate students eager to start a movement. Nikius Christou promised he would launch a program along with Joan and I'm so proud of them and their mighty mission.
