Generosity

This was such an incredible massage. I went to a fundraiser for Prison Yoga Project last summer and spoke at Hazel Blue Studios about teaching yoga to incarcerated youth. Rachel offered me a massage. Today she insisted this was her gift for the work I do withUpRising Yoga! It was so sweet it made me cry.


I have been blessed with such an amazing group of brilliant and dedicated yoga teachers that tonight driving home I thought about how much good comes. It shows up. People offering to help and share their services. This year so far has been about true community building and sharing from the heart. 

As Mr. Freeman, Manager of Alpha and Omega at Central Juvenile Hall said, "when you come in to juvenile hall with Jill and Nick, I know you have your wings on". The same goes to all the angels that volunteer and help us with our mission. 

18 incarcerated boys & girls, in 3 units, 3 pregnant in Boyle Heights at Central Juvenile Hall will sleep better tonight because of yoga volunteers.

24 yoga students today in Wilmington! FREE YOGA TUES 9am. Creating Community with Smiles!

And we all received evacuation training from the Probation Department!

What a monumental day filled with love and achievement- and the week is not over yet! We will bring more healing to Camp Gonzales in Malibu on Friday.
