"Let's go find solutions" - an afternoon with 'runaway girl' carissa phelps

Today I attended a conference on child abuse and neglect (Nexus). The speakers were riveting, including Carissa Phelps. Her message today was: "Let's Go Find Solutions". That resonated with me because I believe yoga can be a tool to help traumatized survivors find their voice. She speaks the truth so many find hard to hear, yet without facing these issues and talking about them, we can't begin to address them. She honors the survivor within herself so she can empower other survivors to do the same. I was grateful to be a part of her speaking engagement today, as she is a true hero and inspiration to me.
UpRising Yoga will silent auction her book, 'Runaway Girl' and movie at our event on Nov. 10th and if we are lucky to have her available she will speak too!
