Today's Event at Rising Lotus Yoga was such an incredible experience. I was honored to meet Nina Siemaszko and check out Rising Lotus Yoga in Sherman Oaks - (I highly recommend!!). This is the studio where Kimberly Fujitaki found her yoga journey and became the teacher we so gratefully have the pleasure of her wisdom, experience and energy she brings to UpRising Yoga. Clearly she learned from a great place and a wonderful instructor, Nina Siemaszko. The two of them taught and assisted today's class together as they switched off seamlessly. Natalie Macam played a wooden instrument that looked like a box (not sure what it is called but I'd like to know more!) and led the most beautiful chants, kirtans and oms. In fact I just looked up the word Kirtan and heard myself in class think "I want to go to India". I was so moved by today's blessings and rituals I know so little about that I'm inspired and intrigued to learn more.

Thank you Nina, Kimberly and Natalie. Thank you Rising Lotus Yoga for such a beautiful studio. Nina spoke of yoga and service which we are so grateful to bring the gift of yoga to those who cannot get to a yoga class. Those healing and in need of healing. We raised $253 today for UpRising Yoga! This is truly such a gift.
