Happy Birthday to Me & You

Welcome to Fall My Friends,
​Happy birthday to me! You are a gift. In juvenile hall we said each class "yoga is a gift, no one can take that away from you." This means the wisdom you learn and grow from a trauma informed yoga practice, mindfulness and meditation, resonates within. Nothing on the outside can bring peace, it is within you. And can be found anywhere, in any circumstance. 

Today I am celebrating big changes on the horizon and new opportunities. The biggest gift I can give to myself (and ultimately others) is the commitment to show up in authenticity and grace, surrendered in alignment and listening to the quiet voice within that guides my soul’s deep passion, mission and service.
This is the way I’m honoring my teachers, guides and mentors. My spiritual lineage of wise ones holding space for me to grow. It’s meaningful to me that I acknowledge and give thanks for all and see the progress of maturity.
 Especially for all the challenges and painful lessons. I’m grateful to be exactly where I’m at today, accepting my own “Deep Shift” and working with those looking to embrace their own personal shift.

This Saturday please come say hi to us in person at the https://homeboyindustries.org Homeboy Industries 5K! We have a booth and will be offering the warm up yoga stretch to the amazing runners!

Sadly we lost our dear friend, and very first UpRising Yoga Ambassador, Suzanne Hansen. She passed away due to Covid at the age of 72. In honor of Suzanne I wanted to share some photos below and her blog. Suzanne has kept me going in tough times and I will miss her dearly. I know many of us are grieving now and my heart is with you.
