Today, I am navigating a maze of jaw tensing hurdles to bring our nonprofit organization, UpRising Yoga, back into juvenile hall—paperwork, endless emails, background checks, and the weight of running a program that demands everything. It’s a battle I know well, but this time, I refuse to lose myself in it.
I’ve been here before. Overworked, underpaid, burned out to the point of landing in the hospital. I won’t do it that way again. I am building this differently—leading with clarity, balance, and the same tools I teach. I remind myself daily: this mission is too important, but so is my well-being. This process is frustrating, but it won’t break me. We are cleared to go back, and now we push forward. The final step is securing an insurance policy—a necessary hurdle, but not an impossible one. We will return. The young people inside deserve this, and I am committed to making it happen—with persistence, support, and a clear vision of sustainable success. If you want to help—connections, donations, or sharing this message—it all matters. This is happening. We’re going back in!
