Hi Dear Friends,
What an amazing night. Thank you to everyone who came out for the UpRising Yoga Comedy Throw-Down at the Lineage Performing Arts Center. The room was full of laughter, generosity, and heart. Our comedians were hilarious, the crowd was incredible, and we raised meaningful support for bringing trauma-informed Yoga Life Skills to youth in juvenile hall. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who donated silent auction items and helped make the evening feel so alive and community-driven. Huge thanks to our wonderful producer Peggy Burt for bringing it all together at The Lineage Performing Art Center, and to my husband Nick Ippolito, who was an awesome host and so funny throughout the night. And a warm welcome to our new Program Manager Kat Heagberg who jumped right in and modeled URY merch dressed as a hot dog no less — we’re ecstatic to have her on the team! I was truly honored to share the Sit. Breathe. Feel. practice and connect people through simple tools that help us pause, regulate, heal, and grow — the same yoga life skills we bring to youth who arrive in our classes straight off the streets, many scared, exhausted, and in need of care. We’re currently planning our next phase — expanding our team, welcoming new instructors, and growing our programs so we can reach more young people with tools for resilience and healing. Stay tuned. With Love, Jill "So Chill" Ippolito Comedians Featured: Gabriella De Marco, Joe Hernandez-Kolski, Molly O’Leary, Laurie Robin Searle, Paula Jane Newman, Brent Forrester, and Pia Smith—an incredible lineup of comedians donating their talent for a cause that matters. Hosted by Jill “So Chill” & Nick Ippolito, Produced by Peggy Burt at Lineage Performing Art Center.
